ITEM ONE:
CONSIDER AND APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA

1. Minutes from the July 18, 2007 meeting
2. Staff report

A motion was made by Bob Weaver and seconded by Jack Barrett to approve the minutes with the following corrections; Bob Weaver and Dick Romine are members of the Stakeholders Committee with Bob Weaver as chairperson. Motion carried.

ITEM TWO:
COMMITTEE REPORTS

Mike Adcock presented a report of the Business Plan Committee meeting. It was announced that Lance Fenton has volunteered for the Stakeholders Committee and Ron Davis for the Facilities Committee.

ITEM THREE:
DISCUSS RENOVATION/REPLACEMENT OF TERMINAL BUILDING

Jim Collard gave an update on the terminal building project. The OAC has approved its 3 year CIP, which identified Shawnee for a 50% / 50% terminal project. The City’s share of the funding will come from the proceeds of the property sale to OBU and Shawnee Little Theatre. A motion was made by Bill Beck and seconded by Bob Weaver to recommend to the City Commission to construct a new terminal building. Motion carried.

ITEM FOUR:
UPDATE ON ACORN GROWTH COMPANIES PROPOSAL

Mike Adcock and Jim Collard reported on the negotiations with Acorn Growth Company.

ITEM FIVE:
DISCUSS OAC RETREAT – OCTOBER 10 & 11

Chuck Mills outlined the plans for the OAC retreat on October 10 and 11th. There will be a dinner at the Country Club on the 10th and the retreat will be the 11th. Jack Barrett suggested the Potawatomi Cultural Heritage Center for the retreat.

ITEM SIX:
CITIZENS COMMENTS

Jim Hunt expressed concern about drainage issues around the hangars. He also reported seeing citizens enter the airport property through the drainage culvert. Staff will refer these items to the city engineer.

ITEM SEVEN:
BOARD COMMENTS

Bill Beck questioned staff regarding the negotiations with Acorn Growth Companies and suggested an insurance policy to cover any revenue loss the company might experience due to closure of the airport.
