DECLARATION OF A QUORUM
ITEM ONE:
Discuss and consider applying for a grant in the amount of $325,000.00 from the Economic Development Authority to go toward the construction of a new terminal building at the Shawnee Regional Airport.
Greg Clifton, Executive Director of COEDD gave a short presentation regarding the status of a $325,000, 50/50 Economic Development Authority (EDA) grant. The grant was originally applied for to provide infrastructure improvements for the Vanguard Stimulation Services project, which the EDA approved in late January. Due to the timing issues, other funding for the Vanguard project was obtained and the EDA grant fund was not needed. COEDD feels that since the grant has been approved that it would be appropriate to change the focus of the grant to go toward the construction of the new terminal building project at Shawnee Regional Airport.
The $275,000 from the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission grant is eligible as a portion of the city’s match for the EDA grant, leaving $50,000 which can be taken from funds already allocated for the terminal building project. Thus, should the EDA approve the change to grant, the city will not be out any additional funds.
Motion was made by Jack Barrett that recommendations are made to the city that they apply for a grant from the EDA for $325,000.00
It was seconded by, Bob Weaver
Vote was called for and was approved unanimously.

Motion was made by Jack Barrett and seconded by Bill Beck to adjourn the meeting.
