CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING RETREAT OF THE SHAWNEE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA TO BE HELD ON THE 30TH AND 31ST DAYS OF OCTOBER, 2011 AT THE ATHERTON HOTEL, H-103 STUDENT UNION JOULLIAN ROOM, STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA. THE PURPOSE OF SAID MEETING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: OCTOBER 30, 2011, 5:00 P.M. – DINNER AND VISITING AND OCTOBER 31, 2011, 9:00 A.M. – MEETING TO DISCUSS PROJECTS PREVOIUSLY RECOMMENDED BY SUBCOMMITTEE, PROJECTS THAT ARISE IN COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS AND PROJECTS PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED BY STAFF IN BUDGET DISCUSSION, INCLUDING WHETHER PROJECTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO VOTERS OR FUNDED IN SOME OTHER WAY, AND, IF SUBMITTED, IN WHAT AMOUNTS AND HOW TO FUND THEM.
By virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 4, Article IV of the Charter of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma, a Special Session of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, is hereby called to meet at the Atherton Hotel, H-103 Student Union Joullian Room, Stillwater, Oklahoma at 5:00 p.m. on October 30, 2011 for dinner and visiting and on October 31, 2011 for a meeting to discuss projects previously recommended by Subcommittee, projects that arise in community discussions and projects previously submitted by staff in budget discussion, including whether projects should be submitted to voters or funded in some other way, and, if submitted, in what amounts and how to fund them.
