THE TRUSTEES OF THE SHAWNEE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, COUNTY OF POTTAWATOMIE, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SCHEDULED SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 9TH AND BROADWAY, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA, MONDAY, MAY 20, 2013, DURING THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS MEETING AT 6:30 P.M., PURSUANT TO NOTICE DULY POSTED AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW. UPON ROLL CALL, A QUORUM WAS DECLARED WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE:

Call to Order
Declaration of a Quorum
A motion was made by Trustee Harrod, seconded by Trustee Smith, to recess the Shawnee Municipal Authority meeting until Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. Motion carried 5-0
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Public hearing and presentation of the budget for FY 2013-2014 for the Shawnee Municipal Authority.
Chairman Mainord declared a public hearing open regarding the budget for FY 2013-2014 for the Shawnee Municipal Authority. City Treasurer Cindy Sementelli gave an overview of the SMA budget as it had been previously presented. No one came forward with comments or questions and Chairman Mainord closed the public hearing.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Consider Bids:
a. Water Meters and Vault Structure Project

Interim Public Works Director Steve Nelms announced that one bid was received and after review and consideration it was staff’s recommendation to award the bid to Jordan Contractors Inc. of Tecumseh, Oklahoma in the total amount of $225,330.00.
A motion was made by Trustee Hall, seconded by Trustee Winterringer, to accept staff’s recommendation and award the bid to Jordan Contractors Inc. in the total amount of $225,330.00. Motion carried 7-0.
b. Sale and Removal of 150# Negative Pressure Ozone System (Open)

Fisher Ferry Water District $77,000
Vicksburg, MS
Interim Public Works Director Steve Nelms read the bid into the record and requested that the bid award be deferred to the next meeting to allow staff to review.
A motion was made by Trustee Winterringer, seconded by Trustee Hall, to defer the bid award to the June 3, 2013 Shawnee Municipal Authority meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 4: New Business (Any matter not known about or which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the posting of the agenda)
There was no new business.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 5: Administrative Reports
a. Consumer Water Quality Report
Interim Public Works Director Steve Nelms advised we have received the Consumer Water Quality Report. The results of this report show the period of January 1 to December 31, 2012, we were in compliance.
There have been some adjustments made to the ratio of Shawnee Twin Lakes and Wes Watkins Reservoir to improve the taste of the water. All water is still in compliance and safe to drink there is just a large amount of organics in the lakes at this time of year.
