THE TRUSTEES OF THE SHAWNEE AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, COUNTY OF POTTAWATOMIE, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SCHEDULED SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 9TH AND BROADWAY, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA, MONDAY, MARCH 3, 2014, DURING THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS MEETING AT 6:30 P.M., PURSUANT TO NOTICE DULY POSTED AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW. UPON ROLL CALL, A QUORUM WAS DECLARED WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE:

AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Consider approval of Consent Agenda
a. Minutes from the February 18, 2014 meeting.
b. Minutes from the Shawnee Airport Advisory Board meeting January 22, 2014
A motion was made by Trustee Winterringer, seconded by Trustee Harrod, to approve Consent Agenda Item Nos. 1(a-b). Motion carried 7-0.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Discuss, consider and possible action on a resolution to amend the Rules and Regulations for the Operation of Shawnee Regional Airport.
Assistant Airport Manager Keenan English explained the changes to the airport rules and regulations. The Advisory Board has requested the addition of a Section to include sky diving. They have been contacted by a firm wanting to rent space and begin the operation of a sky diving business. Mr. English advised there has been interest shown in providing this service and he expects the Advisory Board to meet with the prospective firm regarding a contract, which would then be brought to the Shawnee Airport Authority for action.
Resolution No. SAA 2014-2 was introduced.
A RESOLUTION BY THE SHAWNEE AIRPORT AUTHORITY TO ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF SHAWNEE REGIONAL AIRPORT.
A motion was made by Trustee Hall, seconded by Trustee Winterringer, to approve a resolution to amend the Rules and Regulations for the Operation of Shawnee Regional Airport. Motion carried 7-0.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: New Business (Any matter not known about or which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the posting of the agenda)
There was no New Business.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 4: Administrative Reports
Youth Aviation Adventure will once again be held at the Shawnee Regional Airport on April 5, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. This event is for youth ages 12 – 18 and is free with online registration. It is expected to be well attended as it has been in the past.
