THE TRUSTEES OF THE SHAWNEE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, COUNTY OF POTTAWATOMIE, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SCHEDULED SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 9TH AND BROADWAY, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA, MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2013, FOLLOWING THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS MEETING AT 6:30 P.M., PURSUANT TO NOTICE DULY POSTED AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW. UPON ROLL CALL, A QUORUM WAS DECLARED WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE:

Declaration of a Quorum

AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Consider approval of Consent Agenda

a. Minutes from the December 17, 2012 meeting.

A motion was made by Trustee Harrod, seconded by Trustee Agee, to approve the Consent Agenda item 1(a). Motion carried 6-0-1.

AYE: Harrod, Agee, Mainord, Hall, Winterringer, Smith
NAY: None
ABSTAIN: Stephens

AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Discussion, consideration and possible action to pay note to Arvest Bank for land located at Lots Five (5) and Six (6), YAHGNEE ADDITION, PHASE 1, a subdivision of a part of the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of Section 32, Township 11 North, Range 4 East of the Indian Meridian, subject to existing zoning ordinances, rights-of-ways, encroachments that a survey may reveal and easements of record and less and except all oil, gas and minerals and oil, gas and mineral rights therein and thereunder; to the City of Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, according to the recorded plat thereof.

AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Discussion, consideration and possible action to authorize staff to hire a contractor and purchase materials to replace transmission line between filters and clear well, not to exceed $40,000.00.

Public Works Interim Director Steve Nelms spoke regarding the need to replace 126 feet of the 30 inch water line that runs between the filters and the clear well. Mr. Nelms reports that the company hired to remove the calcium build-up in the line was unable to do so and that a replacement of the line was needed. He stated that the line will be inspected yearly in the future. A motion was made by Trustee Winterringer, seconded by Trustee Harrod, to authorize staff to hire a contractor and purchase materials to replace transmission line between filters and clear well, not to exceed $40,000.00. Motion carried 7-0.
