SPECIAL CALLED SESSION
NOVEMBER 8, 2004 AT 5:30 P.M.
The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, County of Pottawatomie, State of Oklahoma, met in Special Called Session in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 9th and Broadway, Shawnee, Oklahoma, Monday, November 8, 2004 at 5:30 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Mayor Mills presided and called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were in attendance.

The Call for said meeting was entered upon the records by the City Clerk, said Call being as follows:
CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA TO BE HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2004 AT 5:30 O’CLOCK P.M. IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF SHAWNEE CITY HALL, 16 WEST 9TH, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION TO APPOINT REBECCA S. CRAGIN AS FINANCE DIRECTOR AND TO CONSIDER THE APPOINTMENT OF REBECCA S. CRAGIN AS TREASURER FOR THE CITY OF SHAWNEE.
By virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 2, Article IV of the Charter of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma, a Special Session of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma is hereby called to meet at the Shawnee City Hall, City Commission Chambers, Shawnee, Oklahoma at 5:30 p.m. on November 8, 2004 for the purpose of considering the City Manager’s recommendation to appoint Rebecca S. Cragin as Finance Director and to consider Rebecca S. Cragin’s appointment as Treasurer for the City of Shawnee.

NOTICE OF A CALLED SPECIAL SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA.
TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA:
You and each of you are hereby notified that by virtue of a call issued by me on this 3rd day of November, 2004, a Special Session will be held of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma in the City Commission Chambers of Shawnee City Hall, 16 West 9th, Shawnee, Oklahoma at 5:30 p.m. on November 8, 2004 and you are hereby notified to be present at said meeting.
The purpose of said meeting will be to consider the City Manager’s recommendation to appoint Rebecca S. Cragin as Finance Director for the City of Shawnee and to consider the appointment of Rebecca S. Cragin as Treasurer for the City of Shawnee.

AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Consider City Manager’s recommendation to appoint Rebecca S. Cragin as Finance Director for the City of Shawnee.
A motion was made by Commissioner Downing, seconded by Commissioner O’Neal, to accept City Manager Jim Collard’s recommendation to appoint Rebecca S. Cragin as Finance Director for the City of Shawnee. Motion carried.
AYE: Downing, O’Neal, Mills, Hadley, Peterson, Claybrook, Schrzan
NAY: None
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Consider appointment of Rebecca S. Cragin as Treasurer for the City of Shawnee.
A motion was made by Commissioner Schrzan, seconded by Vice Mayor Peterson, to approve the appointment of Rebecca S. Cragin as City Treasurer for the City of Shawnee. Motion carried.
AYE: Schrzan, Peterson, Downing, Claybrook, O’Neal, Mills, Hadley
NAY: None
AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Adjournment.
There being no further items of discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Downing, seconded by Commissioner Hadley, that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried. (5:33 p.m.)
