SPECIAL CALLED SESSION
MARCH 22, 2005 AT 5:30 P.M.
The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, County of Pottawatomie, State of Oklahoma, met in Special Called Session in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 9th and Broadway, Shawnee, Oklahoma, Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 5:30 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Mayor Mills presided and called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were in attendance.

The Call for said meeting was entered upon the records by the City Clerk, said Call being as follows:
CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA TO BE HELD ON THE 22ND DAY OF MARCH, 2005 AT 5:30 O’CLOCK P.M. IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF SHAWNEE CITY HALL, 16 WEST 9TH, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA FOR THE PURPOSE OF MEETING POLICE CHIEF CANDIDATE FRED COLLIE.
By virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 2, Article IV of the Charter of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma, a Special Session of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma is hereby called to meet at the Shawnee City Hall, City Commission Chambers, Shawnee, Oklahoma at 5:30 p.m. on March 22, 2005 for the purpose of meeting police chief candidate, Fred Collie.

NOTICE OF A CALLED SPECIAL SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA.
TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA:
You and each of you are hereby notified that by virtue of a call issued by me on this 18th day of March, 2005, a Special Called Session will be held of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma in the City Commission Chambers of Shawnee City Hall, 16 West 9th, Shawnee, Oklahoma at 5:30 p.m. on March 22, 2005 and you are hereby notified to be present at said meeting.
The purpose of said meeting will be for an opportunity to meet candidates for Chief of Police position.

AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Questions and discussion with Fred Collie, Police Chief candidate.
A question and answer session was held to give the citizens of the community an opportunity to meet Mr. Fred Collie of Arlington, Texas, one of four candidates, applying for the Police Chief position for the City of Shawnee.
Mr. Collie gave a history of his career in law enforcement and answered questions from the citizens.
COMMISSIONER DOWNING EXCUSED AT 6:25 P.M.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Adjournment.
A vote on adjournment was not required since there was not a quorum at the end of the session.
