BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS
SPECIAL CALLED SESSION
JUNE 28, 2004 AT 5:30 P.M.
The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, County of Pottawatomie, State of Oklahoma, met in Special Called Session in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 9th and Broadway, Shawnee, Oklahoma, Monday, June 28, 2004 at 5:30 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Mayor Mills presided and called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were in attendance.

AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: City Commission interview with Robert C. Elliott.
The Commission interviewed the fifth and final candidate for the City Manager position.
Mr. Robert C. Elliott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, gave his family history, educational, and work/professional experience. He has city manager experience.
After concluding the interview with the final candidate, the Commission proceeded with the following agenda item.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Consider an Executive Session as authorized by 25 O.S. ｧ307(B)(1) to discuss the employment and hiring of a City Manager among candidates James Collard, John M. Rogers, Gary W. Holland Michael Randall and Robert C. Elliott .
A motion was made by Commissioner Downing, seconded by Commissioner Schrzan, that the Commission go into Executive Session to discuss the employment and hiring of a City Manager among candidates James Collard, John M. Rogers, Gary W. Holland Michael Randall and Robert C. Elliott. Motion carried.
AYE: Downing, Schrzan, O誰eal, Mills, Hadley, Peterson, Claybrook
NAY: None
CITY COMMISSION NOW IN EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 7:05 P.M. WITH ALL COMMISSIONERS PRESENT.
CITY COMMISSION RECONVENED IN SPECIAL CALLED SESSION AT 9:41 P.M. WITH ALL COMMISSIONERS PRESENT.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Consider action on matters discussed in Executive Session as authorized by 25 O.S. ｧ307(B)(1) regarding the employment and hiring of a City Manager among candidates James Collard, John M. Rogers, Gary W. Holland, Michael Randall and Robert C. Elliott.
A motion was made by Vice Mayor Peterson, seconded by Commissioner Hadley, to offer the City Manager position to James Collard subject to agreement between both parties. Motion carried.
AYE: Peterson, Hadley, Downing, Claybrook, Schrzan, O誰eal, Mills
NAY: None
AGENDA ITEM NO. 4: Adjournment.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by Commissioner Schrzan, seconded by Commissioner O誰eal, that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried. (9:43 p.m.)
